I'm BA-ACK!

I am back, just in case you missed me. The week in Atlanta at the conventions was good but I am exhausted. I have been home for three days and just can not seem to get enough sleep. I slept ten hours last night and it still was not restful. I am off tomorrow and hope I can sleep in a little.

The conventions made for some very long days. Usually we have one or two days to play before we come home. This time we didn't. We went straight from the CBA convention to the Atlanta Giftmart convention. Words can not describe the sizeof the Atlanta Giftmart . It was three buildings with approximately 18 floors in each building. Needless to say we only covered about 6 of these floors in two days.

I was thinking why did these conventions make me so tired when it dawned on me that I have been on the go since June 28 when my best friend came into town. Her and I stayed on the go all week between the holiday, shopping, Busch Gardens, Water Country, the Tides Game and so much more. The day she left I went to a wedding and then started driving  down  to Atlanta immediately after the wedding. We stopped at about 1 am that night at a hotel and were on the road again by 9 am. The week was all convention.  Then we started home on Saturday night after the Braves game. Of course even that had to be delayed because of rain, what should have ended at 9 did not end until 11:15 and so our journey home began. We stayed in an uncomfortable motel right outside of Atlanta and began our journey home at 10 am and did not arrive home until 7pm and work started at 10 am the next morning, no break.

So from June 28 to July 15 I have been going like the Energizer battery bunny but I have finally drained it dry. If you have my home or cell #, don't call me before noon tomorrow. REPEAT... If you have my home or cell # , DO NOT CALL BEFORE NOON.

atlanta restroom patrol

I couldn't resist posting this one since it involved a previous post. I was at the Atlanta Gift Mart was using the restroom in which there was a line. Another lady walks in and says, "Is there a line for the restroom?" You know I was thinking , you moron why do you think I an standing here it's not just to hold the walls up so others can use the restroom. I refused to answer, I know it wasn't nice but when the lady in front of me answered I smiled and the lady evidently could not wait and left. I then turned and looked at the lady in front of me and she said, "that was a dumb question and she did not deserve an answer." DUH! No answer was a better witness than what I was thinking.

On another note I have walked and walked and walked all week , so I hope my weight loss stays put this week despite all the good southern food

A night on the town

I went out with a friend to a local country night club. Boy oh boy am I glad that I do not have to rely on getting drunk to have a good time .I can not even tell you about some of the things I saw at this place. Well some would find it normal but from a Christian perspective, oh wow the rapture has to be coming.  I have never been in the drinking environment but will admit I have had a drink or two but it is not my lifestyle and I don't care to waste my money on such things. I am glad the Lord gave me a Christian environment to be raised in with parents who made sure they knew where I was and what I was doing. I, like a lot of people, did my own thing at 21 but learned quick it was not me or what I stood for. But Praise God that he is a forgiving God.

You may ask, why did you go there if it is not your style. I try to be a witness to others in my life and thoughts and that can not always happen in my Christian environment. So when my friend said , lets go , I went. I  hope one day I can share my God and my life with these friends. I do not believe you can do this without going to where they go and do what they do. I did not do anything unchristian like but I showed them I wasn't too good to be there.

The next question, will I go back. I have no plans at this time but will go if asked and hope I can save a life in more than one way through Christ and being the DD.

Update: This friend went with me to my church's 4th of July picnic and had a good time and spent the evening with me at Busch , so she was able to see how to have a good time without the drinking and carrying on.

Dear Lord, Please help to remember to be a witness in all that I do and protect me when I venture out to the places that people need to see and hear about your love and salvation.

Its the best time of the year....Fireworks

Fireworks or boom booms as my nephew says, I love them.

This week is a fireworks marathon.

Last night I went to Busch Gardens and they were great. I kept thinking that every big boom was the finale but they kept going.

Tonight I saw them at the Tides game and they were great too. Good thing they were because it made up for the lousy game the Tides played (1-11). By the way, Resa, I saw your hubby and four of your beautiful kids but not you.

On Wednesday I am going to either Fort Monroe or Yorktown.

Now I need some on tomorrow or Friday, hmmh, if only Stone Mountain, Georgia was closer. They rank as number one in my book combined with their spectacular laser show.
